A Warm Welcome To You

We invite you to view our website celebrating over 35 years with words, photos and videos of our precious inter-faith school for poor children.

Our beloved Prajna Vihar School (lit. Abode of Wisdom) offers an education to 440 of the poorest children in Bodh Gaya, the location of the Buddha's enlightenment.

Some pupils were once child beggars appealing to international pilgrims and tourists in Bodh Gaya for rupees to buy food for their families.

Poverty stricken children attending our school can go on to study for their degree at leading universities in India. Some children, especially the girls, also go home to teach their parents to read, write and learn arithmatic.

Founded in 1990, our school offers a holistic education, including a secular curriculum, the arts, dance, mindfulness, prayer, physical wellbeing, yoga, eco-values and much sharing between pupils.

The website has links to  six short films and 101 photos, big, medium and small .  Our photos start in 1989 and go through to late 2024.

Do go to our Donation link to support the school. See Contact link for worldwide patrons.

We  experience immense gratitude to our kind and precious donors.

Lots of love from the children.
